First-time Right Approach

The Condo Association had a poor experience with their existing service company. Two out of the four boilers had recently been replaced, but installation errors resulted in failure to pass the start-up inspection. The Board reached out to Pro Star to quote on the next two units.

Assessment: Pro Star walked the project with Raypak. Right away, we noted that the existing units were plumbed incorrectly. In addition, as the boilers were in a pit on the roof, it was important to guide the combustion fumes away from the units. These were important corrections that we brought to the board’s attention and included in our scope of work.

First Time Right approach: The new units were installed to code. A water filtration unit was proposed and added to the installation to further enhance the performance of the boilers and protect the lifespan of the heat exchanger. The board was very happy with the work and decided to switch the maintenance plan over to Pro Star.
